The Anita Borg Institute for Women and Technology (ABI)
The Anita Borg Institute for Women and Technology (ABI) was founded in 1997 by
renowned computer scientist Anita Borg, Ph.D. (1949-2003). Initially known as the
Institute for Women in Technology, IWT was renamed in 2003 to the Anita Borg
Institute in order to honor Dr. Borg.
Through our work every day, the Anita Borg Institute seeks to: increase the impact of
women on all aspects of technology, and increase the positive impact of technology
on the world’s women. Since 1995, ABI has developed tools and programs designed to
help industry, academia and government recruit, retain and develop women

National Association of Women Business Owners - Silicon Valley
(NAWBO SV)
The National Association of Women Business Owners Silicon Valley is a comprehensive
and diverse association of CEOs and Executive Officers of women owned businesses
serving a membership in the greater bay area. Through education, partnerships,
alliances and affiliations with leading universities and fortune 500 companies, we
provide leadership opportunities and business expertise to our membership.
By doing so, we provide our members with the capacity to create wealth, become
leaders of professionally run companies, enable them to compete effectively in an
ever changing business environment and impact social and business policies.
